Ocean

'Can we stay' the Ocean seems to say
Pressed against the moonlight in decay.
Falling to a Mystic in the shade.
Made of clay, he always seems to fade.
Renaissance inside the water's haze
Is running by a Maiden in a maze.
Will escape help her find a way
To a place where she kneels down and prays?
Will the light shed an other's rite
To pull the weeds and reveal the blight?
But these waves endure the sandy graves
That wash ashore leaving empty caves.
She intrigues the world that she creates
Attempts to lure as she tempts the fates.

His echoed mind translates to corner eyes
And begins to steep before she starts to rise.
Haunting zeal begins to escalate
To a hymn that seems to resonate
Like a fog that needs to find a place
To rest one's soul on some withered lace.
'Can we stay' the Ocean seems to say
Hindered by a tide that wants to stray
'Can we go' the Ocean seems to know.
