Growing up was never easy,
it was never easy for me there's moments in
my memory that make me sick and kind of queasy
Rolling on fifteen, surrounded by that obscene,
my emotions were so green so tired of that in-between

Every week my knuckles bleeding from needing that social status
that makes us I'm just surviving
and diving into the world that hates us
That's why we cuss and brawl,
while acting tough and raw cause if
it not me it be you with that broken jaw

If only our parents knew what we got
up to as a teenager trying to survive

politicians there're making us losing our vision
Because its their goal to control all of our ambitions
We just smile and pay our way there's not a damn thing we can say
When there are laughing back at us pretending they know our pain
Got the same life with the same pay, same stress each day
Nice house, nice car, Maserati but we paid
I'd like to see them survive on minimum wage,
still paying all their fucking taxes with a family to raise
