Massively Vast
As I stand on the bow of the Massively Vast
An able and willing seaworthy craft
Oh, she dodges and weaves through the waves and the swells
The violence drowns out all the taste and the smells
It can rattle the cage of the beast that's within
Bringing prayers to the lips, forgiveness of sin
But I'll find the will to laugh
At deaths best attempts of doing me in
And I'll climb up the mast
With this monster I've made out of muscle and skin
And I'll find the spark within
That'll light up my lamp and straighten my spin
And I know (yes I know, yes I know)
That any directions a good way to go
On the deck of the Massively Vast
I pick up the pieces after the storm
Oh, the squall leaves the sail all tattered and torn
All them places she's been and the places she'll go
All alone in the wind left to bluster and blow
Oh, the beast has to cling to the shards that he finds
With no peace between heats at this race against time
But I'll find the will to laugh
At deaths best attempts of doing me in
And I'll climb up the mast
With this monster I've made out of muscle and skin
And I'll find the spark within
That'll light up my lamp and straighten my spin
And I know (Yes, I know, yes, I know)
That any directions a good way to go
On the deck of the Massively Vast
On the deck of the Massively Vast
On the deck of the Massively Vast
An able and willing seaworthy craft
Oh, she dodges and weaves through the waves and the swells
The violence drowns out all the taste and the smells
It can rattle the cage of the beast that's within
Bringing prayers to the lips, forgiveness of sin
But I'll find the will to laugh
At deaths best attempts of doing me in

With this monster I've made out of muscle and skin
And I'll find the spark within

And I know (yes I know, yes I know)
That any directions a good way to go
On the deck of the Massively Vast

And I know (Yes, I know, yes, I know)
That any directions a good way to go
On the deck of the Massively Vast
On the deck of the Massively Vast
On the deck of the Massively Vast
