For the Town

Yeah you know sometimes i sit back and reminisce you know on them good ole days
It wasn't always so good witnessed a lot of stuff in the town
Been through hell and back but i got love its always gonna be home
This one's for everybody check me out

Came back one summer from San Fernando valley mom received at the greyhound and We Hopped on the bus With a lot to discuss she said
We got a new house after a cool little ride she rings the bell
And we hop out now i'm looking around in these uncharted waters
Little did i know its full of
Sharks and piranhas wasn't more than five when we arrived on national and thirty fifth
Where them lessons were swift young thug at the Otto
Square tried to get me for my bike
My older brother popped up and gave him some act right
That's who i looked up to and then
He caught an L used to write me from ya tell me not to bang the shells he already gave
Mom hell though i tried to do well i'm on the block around the clock and now
I'm making sells keep a keen eye for one time and when they come its run time
Hit a couple fences toss the dope and the gun time ask me why i did it
I was tired of being poor it just fucked my self esteem and hurt my soul to the core
I'm telling the truth what the fuck i'm gone lie for Cesar put me on now i got something
To die for homes catching time and other homes was dying and countless times
I ran from cops and gunfire when my ninth life expires i resurrect and come back flyer
With a halo on my head the San Diego swinging friar

This ones for everybody that grew up in the town whether you banged it
Or just lived there and It's your stomping ground
We all got memories we all got a story some good some bad and others very gory
Many lost their life and some were blessed to make it out
But no matter where you roam it'll always be home
Damn i miss the Otto square and all the old school homes
And them rough times in the streets
And the lessons that they showed me

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name
Get a little fame shit'll never be the same
Sit back and reminisce on how it used to be heart feeling heavy for all the homes rip
And the hardest pill to swallow is that life goes on no matter
What you stumble upon that might go wrong
Got love for my people that's why i write these songs if you grew up in the town then
Turn this up and ride along Otto square to Emerson
And golden gate to chucks saint Jude's to the view
Where they give two fucks nasty hills to gamma divisions a divider
This ones for everybody
Especially for them riders shining up them rims or cleaning up them tires
Or simply going for yours
Seeking what your heart desires good vibes and blessings
Keep the haters guessing reemerge
Like its a purge and kill shit with no questions

This ones for everybody that grew up in the town
Whether you banged it or just lived there and it's your stomping Ground
We all got memories we all got a story some good some bad and others very gory
Many lost their life and some were blessed to make it out
But no matter where you roam it'll always be home
Damn i miss the Otto square and all the old school homes
And them rough times in the streets
And the lessons that they showed me
