On the Train, Pt. 2

Abandon houses in high, pale grass
With camel colored cliffs just behind
Houses like sheds, like coaches
Made by rusty metal, leaning to each other

No neighbors to be seen
Just three cars out of order since years
Get a glimpse of a fainting light
Then someone is there after all, for another night

Crossing thousand acres of cornfields
Black cattle statues made of stone
Wild horses running along the hillside
A coyote on its hunt

Just 10 hours left on the train
Seems too few for me know
I got the strong feeling between sorrow and joy
It's there when I travel, when reach my destination

The trees have turned into red
That kind of color that I love
The rivers and the bridges over them
Are empty but huge and proud

Crossing thousand acres of cornfields
Black cattle statues made of stone
Wild horses running along the hillside
A coyote on its hunt

Crossing thousand acres of cornfields
Black cattle statues made of stone
Wild horses running along the hillside
A coyote on its hunt
