Long White Hallways

Walking down these long white hallways
This place makes me sick
These visits are getting more frequent
And I'm still learning to deal with it
Walk past the nurse to your bed side
I see you struggle to even smile
I return one that feels half hearted
I know this visit will take a while

The doctors say the odds are slim
Disease eats you day by day
I'm trying my best to stay strong
But you continue to fade away

You slip in and out of a world you made up and reality
So I hold on to that dear friend in my memory
Your steady decline drains me along with you
You have to make it you have to pull through

Im sorry this happened to you
I will stay here until you pull through

Stay strong long after you're gone
