The Entreating - Intro
But Ruth said to Naomi, "Entreat me not to leave you".
She says, ask, don't ask me to leave, don't
Don't tell me to return back to my homeland
There's really nothing there for me
But where you go, I'll go
And your people will be my people
And your God will be my God
And when I read the scripture
Although Ruth is talking to Naomi
That one act of faith, engrafted her forever
Into the genealogy of Jesus
That one act of faith brought her
Into the family of God in such a magnificent way
And just thinking about that, I wanted to
I wanted to say that to God
Now I know that He has promised
That He will never leave us
He will never forsake us
And I'm so glad about that
Anybody else glad about that?
But God, when times get hard
Don't let me leave you
When I want to give up, hold me close
When I want to let go, knit my heart to Yours
Don't let me leave you
Cause there's no place else I can go
There's no other help that I can find but you
And so tonight has really been about entreating God
Making our request known to God
Whatever that request is to keep us close to Him
So this is the entreating
She says, ask, don't ask me to leave, don't
Don't tell me to return back to my homeland
There's really nothing there for me
But where you go, I'll go
And your people will be my people
And your God will be my God
And when I read the scripture
Although Ruth is talking to Naomi
That one act of faith, engrafted her forever

That one act of faith brought her
Into the family of God in such a magnificent way
And just thinking about that, I wanted to

Now I know that He has promised
That He will never leave us
He will never forsake us
And I'm so glad about that
Anybody else glad about that?
But God, when times get hard

When I want to give up, hold me close
When I want to let go, knit my heart to Yours
Don't let me leave you

There's no other help that I can find but you
And so tonight has really been about entreating God
