Old Familiar Place

Running to that old familiar place
Hope to see an old familiar face
Maybe someone left a light on just in case
I'd be running back to the old familiar place

The pictures on the wall look just the same
But now I see 'em all rearranged
They're telling me the times have changed
So I'm looking for the things that still remain

They say moving on is moving up
I tried getting on not getting up
Thinking if I find where i got stuck
Feel my old familiar ways coming up

Time is the wheel that never breaks
I toss and turn but still I'm on my way
Maybe I'll return someday
And feel like I really know this place

I'm rolling up full speed ahead
Don't know where I'm going just where I've been
When I don't have a place to lay my head
All I know is all I don't know yet

Running to the old familiar place
Hope to see an old familiar face
Maybe someone left a light on just in case
I'd be running back to the old familiar place
