Winters Are Long

Shoveled my drive for the 4th time this week
Had my patchy mustache freeze to my cheek
With temps so low I might never leave home
With thought of you gone and me all alone

And I ask myself
Is my heart really frozen?
I think its time to put a plan in motion

Run right now go as fast I can
Run down south and get a spring break tan
Margaritas and sand are where I belong
It gets lonely 'round here 'cus winters are long
It gets lonely 'round here 'cus winters are long

Saw you lookin' cute in your Carhartt hat
The brown one I bought you two winters back
So many good times around the fire place
Now its just cold air and thoughts of mistakes

And I ask myself
Is my heart really frozen?
I think its time to put a plan in motion

Run right now go as fast I can
Run down south and get a spring break tan
Margaritas and sand are where I belong
It gets lonely 'round here 'cus winters are long
It gets lonely 'round here 'cus winters are long

On a beach
In the sand
I won't think of you at all
Just might
Stay down here
With my new senorita

Run right now go as fast I can
Run down south and get a spring break tan
Margaritas and sand are where I belong
It gets lonely 'round here 'cus winters are long
It gets lonely 'round here 'cus winters are long
