The Truth About Lies

It's a lie
I'm not the man you think I am
It's a lie
It's a lie
I'm not the man who failed to rise after a fall
It's a lie
It's a big lie
I'm not the man who ignored the signs or refused to ask for directions
It's a lie
It's a lie
I'm not the man who fears truth so
bad that he built an empire of lies.
But heavy lies the head that wear
the crown and like a thorn it pokes...
Who's laughing now?
Life's jokes are not funny
It's not a comedy show
This is reality TV
Real time
We've been refused the opportunity to rehearse the script
So we improvise, strategize, and sometimes disguise
But even the best actors do not fit the character
Masters of pretence prepared to defend their lies with more
lies and with prying eyes they watch, but the truth evades them
So what is the truth?
Are they words from the mouth housing a lying tongue?
Man from the abundance of his heart speaks lies to his fellow man
Is this the best man can do?
(Spits)
Tasteless fruits of deceit
Led to believe your truth and my truth are not the same
But Remember the truth don't change
My attempt to reveal what the truth
is not, got me trapped by these lies
Held captive by the sugary taste of sweet
comfort, a mirage, a warmish effect of cold lies
Lies like lices they infest the mind
A weapon used by the enemy to corrupt and ultimately destroy
There is a 3 point agenda
Steal, kill, and destroy

But I know one
One who is the way the truth and the life
His life is light, shines in darkness
Shines the brightest
The darkness cannot understand the light
The light that truth brings...
The truth that brings life
Jesus is that truth
