Finding

Finding allot out all about myself
All the reasons I can't see myself
For all the things I've done to fog my, eye, eye, eyes

But if I've grown through all I've known
It's surely shown when a new day dawns
Unless I keep on wearing my disguise

A vacant minded vagrant, vacating fake in oasis
Awaken baseless emotions, evoking the hope in fate
In a fatalist daze debating the space in the ways we raised 'em
The razor it's blade emblazoned, rust colored, not oxidation

Precipitation's inevitable
Some days the rain'll pour
But, we always pick up, move on, dry off
It's the cost of doing business, just one long write-off

Our station playing shaken, awaiting our reservation
Trace the shape of the grace in your face, no isolation
A devastation awakened in revelations we're facing
But, these walls will build back up . just a hiccup

Pothole, bump in the road, let's go, no time to stop
Keep on climbing from the bottom to the top
Cause life is a clock, and when it clicks, they tick, we tock
My wrist, my watch, my props, my car propped on some cinder blocks

But gotta keep up appearance, that's why the clearance
Is so low and why I scrape at every bump in the road
I know, it's not the wisest, disguises could never hide us
They deride us, our abiders provide us with love to guide us

To find us, we plus the minus, negating, we jump behind us
To see ourselves from a different point of view
And if we find us, I promise to hold my tightest
And remind us it was always me and you

Finding allot out all about myself
All the reasons I can't see myself
For all the things I've done to fog my, eye, eye, eyes

But if I've grown through all I've known
It's surely shown when a new day dawns
Unless I keep on wearing my disguise

Who am I... well, that depends who you ask
Each individual may have seen me in a different mask
Certainly through different shades of glass
each persona fading fast
Always changing from the next day to the last
Just to break from the past

Naw, the truth is, I'm as static as they come
Statuesque, no not pretty, just stagnant, never run
Barely walk, but I talk, well, if I know you well
Cause I'm shy? No that's social anxiety, can't you tell?

People used to think that I was stuck up
Me myself, always thought I was a ____ up
But that's how it goes, and now I know, so now I can grow
If I can just convince myself get up out of the hole, and go

That's when my fear kicks in, gets out of control
Cause control is in my hands and I'm not letting it go
You know, social situations facing strangers face to face and
Always bracing for abasement, something stupid, probably say it

Awkward silence, that's my station, tune the dial in and play it
And by they way, how's the weather out today?

But, social anxiety aside, I got allot on my mind
I got allot left to find, I need to swallow my pride
If I'm ever gonna follow new strides
And get myself up out this hole where I hide

So we'll see how it goes, day by day as my story unfolds
Unmask myself and push up out of my comfort zone

Finding allot out all about myself
All the reasons I can't see myself
For all the things I've done to fog my, eye, eye, eyes

But if I've grown through all I've known
It's surely shown when a new day dawns
Unless I keep on wearing my disguise
