A Home

It doesn't matter about the architecture
I don't care for the bland, red brick
It's not as bright as the lightening fixture
Or kids, crafting with Popsicle sticks

I don't care for the mighty oak
I don't care for a red cedar fence
I don't need a tiny toad that croaks
Next to me
Sitting on these
Granite-slate steps

If we're doing this, then let's do it right
A future full of children, playing make it paradise
Let's sing together, underneath the blue moonlight
Singing tunes of happiness, till we see the sunlight

Let's just make this run down house into a home
This is not something I could build with my hands
As much as I try, a home isn't built with 2
A home is a home when you are home
