A Little Hope

So the world's on pause now
Ruled by fools now
We might fall out but the sky won't fall down
Birds will fly free even if we are fighting
We have low moods but the earth stands strong by her full moon

All that I thought true surely be bullshit
The money I saved up is soon to be worthless
As CEO's and financial service

But God bless grocery workers and nurses

And god bless families sitting home nervous

God bless those who've been poisoned by power pride and greed cos I don't know if they chose it
I don't know if they chose it

Now

My hours is all I have
I ain't taking no orders unless I am on Amazon

Buying me what I got or to further my talent
Keeping my eye out on Babylon you ain't taking no from my balance anymore

I went on Zoom today with my family
I took it slow I hope you had a nice Saturday
I felt alive and well
I smile cos I am awake

I had dinner that my Daddy made
He hasn't had a day off in forever in my memory and isn't that silly
I thought technology was meant to help us live more efficiently

When did we become so competitive for the capital
What a tragedy what was happening
Battling for the basics of humanity

If they can print more money to bail out banks then how come they never
Print more money to feed the poor babies
It seems so crazy

I'm not an economist so my theories a bit basic
But maybe we needed this so our priorities change

A little hope
