Notebook
I've always loved writin' n' makin' music
Whenever I turn to you I feel like I can write 'bout anythin'
You've never been busy
My fam n' you've always been there for me
We've been together ever since I downloaded you onto my phone
And when my mom said I could have you in my room, been writin' you ever since
Bringin' you to the darkest side of my mind
I wince whenever I feel like I need to write somethin' down
Hence us bein' a good team, I choose beats to make my food
I know you'll be here for my birthday on January 3rd
Nothin' I write to you is absurd
I rince the lyrics 'cause I don't think they good enough
I keep some of 'em though
You prolly know that some of my problems can be cured
Really depends on the problem
Ever since I started rappin' a few years ago
Knew I had a long way to go due to low experience
I studied more rappers along the way
And I will listen to other rappers
Many of 'em will lay down they own songs
Much to the homies NF n' Elijah Kyle
They inspire me to be myself, but minus the profane language
Did it in both my EP's n' first album that I put out, didn't like it
Applyin' the bandage of music to my head when I work hard
Thinkin' of lyrics 'til I pass out, woo!
Way before I found you, I used this memos app on my iPhone 5
But now that I have you on my phone
I can write longer n' good songs
The memos couldn't even fit Rap God on one memo
I'll keep you on my phone
You helpin' me build myself, n' sooner or later I might grow enough confidence to compete
Makin' my fleet of music
Writin' my sheets, practicin' fast verses
But curses, the fast verses are hard
Got one last card to put down, fire 'em up
I know that hip-hop's always been a competitive thing
I'm not ready to be in the ring, I wanna be out of it
I'm pretty sure you know that we'll be together on all the records I make
Hold 'em lyrics steady, many people say "if you don't do drugs then you borin'"
Well what you soarin' through huh?
Nothin's gon' stop me from doin' what I love
As long as we's together I ain't ever gon' stop
And I know you gon' stay with me
You help me cope with my problems, my mentality
I ain't gon' change for nobody 'cause if they don't like me
Then they can listen to someone else
Hopefully this music can help people
We will help them, and we'll help each other
This has always been my escape
There will be nothin' else, music speaks like no other
Pumpin' music more than any other
(Whoa, Whoa)
(Whoa, Whoa)
(Whoa, Whoa)
(Whoa, Whoa)
(Whoa, Whoa)
