Wish there were more butterflies

There was no mistaking when I saw you
I wasn't faking, what I felt was true
I prayed day and night for the Lord to
Reveal to me, what I needed to see

Every time that I was with you I was captured
Your eyes, your smile, it made my heart beat faster
But in the waking of the night I found the struggle
In the mystery, that something was missing

And all I can define
Is that

I wish there were more butterflies
I wish I was touching the sky
You and I
It seemed meant to be
