Sabotage the Cold

I had a dream
That I was lost in the woods
As the dark was creeping in
I had some marbles
A broken compass
And a pocket full of string

I found some shelter
In an ancient cabin
I called for help
But there was nobody home
I fell asleep
And a voice in my dream sang

"You should keep a fire burning
To sabotage the cold"

Well, I woke up to a frightful dawn
The sky was heavy
And the birds were gone

You should keep a fire burning
To sabotage the cold
And the clouds won't overwhelm you
If you change your altitude

I began to panic
As screams filled the woods
And the storm ripped up the sky
Lighting was crashing
The earth was shaking
And the trees began to burn

I spied a mountain
It was so far away
I tried for it
But I was to cold and afraid

You should keep a fire burning
To sabotage the cold
And the clouds won't overwhelm you
If you change your altitude

I woke up sweating
In my mother's arms
She held me close
And she sang me song

"You should keep a fire burning
To sabotage the cold
And the clouds won't overwhelm you
If you change your altitude"

You should keep a fire burning
To sabotage the cold
And the clouds won't overwhelm you
If you change your altitude
