To Hell with Science

Good old Aunt Flo
Was a little bit slow
She didn't know
What she didn't know
But then again she didn't care
That she'd go through life unaware

In school she always hated science
Stupid she'd say, with righteous defiance
And whatever she was taught
She denied or forgot
All things pedagogic
Were lost in her illogic

Now many years later
Her mind is no greater
In fact it's just as it was
For stupid is what stupid does
A fool today will be a fool tomorrow

And now the world is fighting a virus
And science says it's most undesirous
Even lethal if contracted
So some states have enacted
Rules that we shelter in place

But old Aunt Flo
Refuses to go
She proudly shouts with defiance
To hell with their science
It's a hoax not a disease
Damn straight, I'll do what I please

But disease is free
To do what it does
Pandemics don't discriminate
They eliminate in New York
Or Nebraska
When diseases kill, they don't ask ya

Fortunately some states, they were smart
They got a head start
By respecting science
Not blind reliance
On those that insist
They're free to resist

And old Aunt Flo
Is now six feet below
Brought to her knees
By this evil disease
She'll spend forever in eternal night
Because the benighted, well, their always right

Good old Aunt Flo
Was a little bit slow
She didn't know
What she didn't know
But then again she didn't care
That she'd go through life unaware
