Blotch on the Shower Door

There's a blotch on the shower door
It's still there from the night you left
I pressed my head against the glass
I cried as you stormed down the steps

My tears didn't end there
I've been upset since that night
I'm trying to remove all memory of you, blotch included
Ever since that awful fight

As if suddenly were a vampire, you're no longer in the mirror
You aren't in my pictures anymore
I tried to get the Windex, from the cabinet under the sink
I find a jar of coins that we had stored
I'm crying on the bathroom floor

All I had in life was you
You were my future, all my plans
And now I'm idle as a person in a painting
So much to do, so little time on my hands

As if suddenly were a vampire, you're no longer in the mirror
You aren't in my future anymore
I tried to get the Windex, from the cabinet under the sink
I guess I'll accept that my life doesn't involve yours
But there's still a blotch on the shower door

I'll try to erase the memories
But everything is stained
My face with tears, my glass with grease
My foreseeable future with pain
I'll just have to cover up wherever we are plastered
Put on a mask, and pray for my life to move faster

I'll try to erase the memories
But everything is stained
My face with tears, my glass with grease
My foreseeable future with pain
I'll just have to cover up wherever we are plastered
Put on a mask, and pray for my life to move faster

As if suddenly were a vampire, you're no longer in the mirror
But your soul resides in things I now rapport
In the jar of coins that jangle as I pick it up
In the echoes that linger of the shouts
In the blotch on the shower door

In my heart that's weighing me to the bathroom floor
