I walked along the porch all day
Waiting for my father to come back
He left in search for a monster in the woods
I hope that he wasn't attacked
No one believed what we saw that night
A figure tall and slender like trees
We barely escaped by hiding underground
And since then he was never at ease

Taken without a sight
By slender monster screaming in the night
Driven by your madness
You ran into the woods and vanished

I must go and search tonight
My instinct tells me that I'll find you
I will make them see he's real
All I need is a little proof
I need some help so I won't go in alone
To seek out something tall and unknown
For I must discover this beast out in the woods
Maybe it's just misunderstood
