Oh look out, all and sundry
Let me tell of my tail
Born on the wrong side of the tracks I was
But soon I did prevail

Doft a cap and went to work
For a decade and some change
I lived on Gods own freedom
And the talents that he gave
So begone when they tell you
Because the road to serfdom calls
Its stagnations and frustration
From the Wigan Pier, you'll fall
