No Folding Me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
But hopefully I don't fall to sleep
Cause globally and socially
People are talking too openly and racially
So I'm hoping that my poetry
Can bitter down that bigotry
And open up the imagery
So we can see the dignity
And symmetry in humanity
And everyone has the ability
To rise up to infinity
If the cops didn't hurt us physically
What they say still hurts us mentally
But we keep moving on carefully and steadily
And we reach out to our destinies
And we master all of our specialties
I learned from all of my felonies
To follow the rules and policies
But still fuck all those deputies
They still count as my enemies
Cause of how they treat us ebonies
But I hope my words and melodies
Get out to all those counties and cities
That's going through that insanity
And all that police brutality
And all this racism shit
Don't weaken me but strengthens me into a bigger me
There ain't no folding me
I'm like a Lorax tree
Uh uh aye uh
It's been some hard nights
That I couldn't sleep
And I pray to the lord
For my soul to keep
Black lives matter our soul is deep
The police try to take control of me
But there ain't no folding me
This is all hope to me
It went marked down in history
When they choked George so viciously
It's got me absolutely pessimistic
The way these cops are acting so cruel and sadistic
Like that cop that pointed lasers in my eyes
When he knew I'm an epileptic
There's a big part and I skipped it
And you probably already guessed it
Yeah I didn't even do shit
Well that's not even a question
They just fuck with me and throw me down
Cause eight is my section
And hate is their weapon
And they'll kill me just cause what I say
Might make them feel threatened
And George Floyd is in Heaven
And the four cops that killed him
To the golden gates of Heaven
You will never be welcomed
Y'all did nothing but to turn another nigga to a legend
Aye aye aye uh mmm aye aye
I'm hopping on my beat only to get this through to you
All lives can matter only if black lives matter too
I'm hopping on my beat only to get this through to you
All lives can matter only if black lives matter too
I'm at the top of the tower
With black J's
Black joggers
A black T
And a black snapback that says black power
And my black fist in the air crying black lives matter
With my pet black panther
Yeah I kicked down the ladder
Cause I ain't going back down
It's gonna take a lot from five O to turn this frown upside down
2020's got me thinking how the hell did I survive
All the times the cops have stopped me
And I'm still standing here alive
Maybe that's a sign from God that this is my time to thrive
You've only got one life to live
So live that life to the fullest until the day that you die
Aye uh
Until the day that you die
Uh uh
Until the day that you die
It's been some hard nights
That I couldn't sleep
And I pray to the lord
For my soul to keep
Black lives matter our soul is deep
The police try to take control of me
But there ain't no folding me
This is all hope to me
It went marked down in history
When they choked George so viciously
Don't you follow the system
They hide truth from the civilians
Just take in the wisdom
From all of the victims
Like Baldwin Richard Allen
Like King like George Floyd
Like Malcolm like Douglass
Man this shits got me annoyed
Had us locked up in those dungeons
Now it's got us unemployed
Looked to me like Floyd was chilling
Now his life is all destroyed
I mean is it really that hard to see
This ain't my responsibility
But do I gotta drop down on my knees and have to beg for equality
To make things the way that we want them to be
Well I mean shit possibly
If that means as a family
We can come together and agree
And stick together as a we
If it proves that there ain't no folding you
And there ain't no folding me
And there ain't no folding me
And there ain't no folding me
If there ain't no folding you
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
Gone
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
There ain't no folding me
