That's My Family (BLM)

What would you do lord if you was me
I ain't trying to be rude or disrespect you, I just need to know truthfully
was born in it so sinning ain't nothing new to me
The world you made in the beginning ain't what it used to be
Sometimes I wonder if you'd understand
If you was human and walked the shoes of a man
That was confused with no choice to choose who commands
And is either loose or played by the rules of the land
Would you refuse the pressure or choose to withstand
To later be stuck on a cross with screws in your hand
I need to know just give me the jewels to the plan
And I promise that i will spread the news to the fans

That's my brother my sister my neighbor
That's my family
That's my mama my teacher my father
Black lives matter

I know you picture me being a good guy
But nowadays, the good guys in the hood die
If good was justified, maybe I would try
But then again, if I had wings I could fly
That ain't my reality
Where I'm from every other day it's a casualty
In the slums where we can't escape the mentality
Of thinking that a mic or a basketball is the best way for a salary
So actually the things that we dream is limited to just dreams
Because reality is what we're living in
Yeah the schools try to show us how to be a citizen
But history class teach you it's all about the Benjamins
The Lincoln's and the Grants
It's hard to really make it when you thinking that you can't
Get over the hurdles of these racist to advance
And take my people further cause we feel like we're not equal
That's the reason that we chant

That's my brother my sister my neighbor
That's my family
That's my mama my teacher my father
Black lives matter

A yo these black lives matter
But it seems like don't nobody really care into a black life shatters
Then the black minds gather
Because we sick and tired of seeing the dead bodies of these black guys add up
In our situation different
Most of us don't notice the condition that we live in
Thinking that it's normal to be sitting in a prison
Or scared to take a knee or say that you can't breathe
Because nobody's gonna listen
No Kap
If you ain't in position to play, it's no stats
And if the truths hidden away, it's no facts
We need the youth vision to change today
Because it's no way to go back
So it's affirmative it's time for some action
Time to recognize the great minds of the black men
And women that done sacrificed they lives for the black skin
We just want real freedom, we're tired of asking

That's my brother my sister my neighbor
That's my family
That's my mama my teacher my father
Black lives matter
