The Day I Invented Rain

I am The spirit that denies
I am
I am the spirit that denies
I am the child that doesn't understand
I am the truth and the lie
The raised sword and the outstretched hand
I am potential and I am waste
The sceptre in my hand the chains around my feet
I am damnation and I am grace
The crown of creation and a serpents filthy breed
Like glass that shatters if you push too hard
And linens torn by the wrath of angry hands
I collapse under the burden
That my shoulders cannot bear anymore
Like violation breaks the mighty heart
Humiliation makes the strongest will relent
Under the curse of the great fragmentation
My body weathers and my soul is getting sore

So I throw myselves into the river
Pray that the pieces would unite under the pressure of the tides
And I bow my head for deliverance
From contradiction and disgust or all these voices I can't trust
But there are still so many shadows to drown
And rivers to cross

I find myself in a wasteland
Close to a place from which I know it is worlds end
The air is still and absent is all sound
But this uproarious silence
Is pierced by a voice, whispering of violence
A distant thunder deep from under ground
The inevitable consequence
Pushes through dirt and an undeniable evidence
To crack the surface and tear our pillars down
A fountain rises to relevance
To bury our pride and the unbearable arrogance
The tempest released, the seed of hope is sown
And the flood it devours, the desolate land
Like humans' blood consumed by greedy sand
And im baptised, baptised to the name
Of everything That ever existed
In the name of an unknown father, a prodigal son
A spirit long forgotten and gone
And I sink to the darkness
And finally find out what bliss is

Something is in the wind and rocks the seas
The world is changing i can feel it
All creatures freeze in awe, a silent prayer for reprieve
For all guilt to be deleted
The rain's anointments cure my ancient disease
All heaven's sceptre, I receive it
All forests bow their heads
All mountains fall to their knees
For me to dominate, believe it
I build an army of clouds
Unleash the giants' desire
My weak heritage defeated
My word is law, my will is fire
The evolution is completed
Watch me become a god
See all limitations caving in
Tremble for what's awakening
I am the wise man from the mountain
I am the one who survived
The evidence for all your trial and all your error
And out of your ashes I rise

I am the river, I am the sea
I am the desert, I'm you and me
No contradiction! I am the sum
I am the end where all has begun
And will begin for evermore
A closed and yet wide open door
I am
