Pinellas Rain

In the coolness of the morning, In the moving stillness
I can close my eyes and picture, where we first fell in love
There's a big palmetto swaying, And the nighthawks can't stop singing
As we walk along the pathway, To have our dinner by the sea

There's so much of us that's different, there's so much that's still the same

In the twilight of the evening when the sun is sinking
My mind goes back to thinking, of those early halcyon days
Big dreams and fancy evenings, lazy mornings on the weekends
And in our first house we were living in that little Scottish town
