Purple Night
Purple night fades as clouds go 'way,
Young lovers dream of day
Shall the elf king go round the horn
To save his queen in morn?
Can we fly up in the sky? Only in our dreams.
While still night clings to its dark
With the far call of the lark
Tiptoe lightly through the hedge
To swear the sacred pledge
Is there more beyond the shore? More than what it seems.
Undines swim slowly in pools of clear water
Venture to far lands, his queen, they have got her
And how can light dispel the night? Ride upon sunbeams.
Young lovers dream of day
Shall the elf king go round the horn
To save his queen in morn?
Can we fly up in the sky? Only in our dreams.
While still night clings to its dark
With the far call of the lark
Tiptoe lightly through the hedge
To swear the sacred pledge
Is there more beyond the shore? More than what it seems.
Undines swim slowly in pools of clear water
Venture to far lands, his queen, they have got her
And how can light dispel the night? Ride upon sunbeams.
