The Longest Hour

Once again I find myself in this predicament
Out of the light into the
Motionless night
And every week
It's the same
Hours without sleep
And I wonder
As I stumble
Down the street

And you're gone from my head
Erased all the memories and put
Other things instead
And there's nothing that will compare to when I
Thought of you
I might as well toss them away back into a time
When I looked from a different view
But now all I can do is

Change myself not you
It'll be a long hour but it's something I must do
The longest hour from
My point of view
From my point of view
It'll be the longest hour

And as I look back on my time
Spent chasing the opportunities
Waiting in line
For me
I felt blinded but I
Could see perfectly
And it was just
Downright lazy
Take a bow I let me down

Change myself not you
It'll be a long hour but it's something I must do
The longest hour from
My point of view
From my point of view
It'll be the longest hour

And I told myself it'd be alright
Everything gets better with time right?
Seems that way to others
But it just doesn't prove true
