Twenty Two

I did my hair for the first time
In a couple weeks
Yeah, I curled it up nice
And put on a pair of jeans

I wrote this song and cleaned my room
I felt like I was someone new
I've been in the same mindset
For awhile

I read a book and sat on the porch
Out back
I thought about my past
And man, I just had to laugh

So many things I could've done better
But the present doesn't mean forever
I've grown so much and I can't help but smile

So maybe I'll drink a cup of coffee at two
Sit and listen to the birds sing their blues
I'll watch the cloud move across the sky
Take a deep breath and realize
I'm okay where I am, right now

I don't have to figure it out

I've got some big emotions

Maybe we could talk about them
While we watch the rain

Or how about we drive until
The light's dim down on today
We could do anything, so what do you say?
