The Storm

Cry in the rain to hide the tears
Every drop brought down on the wings of Angel
The truth can be painful
Two things that dangle
Shyton strikes
From every angle

Looking back at how I fell off track
Swimming in the fair-seeming
Aggravating my demon
Left wit a black heart but soul intact
I was grateful for that
Somehow through the wilderness
I found my way back
So I called on Allah
But the dunya left scars
Wounded by the alcohol and broads
Then need for attention
Not to mention my ego

I didn't take heed
Caught by my deeds
Scream
Please don't ever leave me
In the eye of my storm
With no where to turn
I know I was wrong
So I had to move on

It's easier said then done
That's when the test begun
Adjusting
From thinking your something
To realizing your nothing
Ego huffing and puffing
Temptations
Like my name David Ruffin
Calling like a lost love
Your passions a thug
That a rob and leave you
All alone with Rub

In the eye of your storm
With no where to turn
Once your caught in the rain
You'll never be the same

This can change you
Re-arrange you
Strengthen your belief or fill your heart with grief
Have you mad at God
Asking why me
Making you completely reliant on his mercy
So you wear a crown of humility before thee

He doesn't need me

Lost in the hurricane
With no one blame
in pain full shame
The actions I chose leaving me exposed
It festers and grows
Becomes habitual
And it's hard to change your ways
When your locked up in cage
But you did it to yourself and there's no one else to help
The umbrella Quran and Sunna
So you must choose a different path
And protect yourself from wrath

With just you and your actions
If you continue in sin
You first have to experience it
And that experience creates the desire
So stay under the umbrella
And avoid wrong actions
