Picturebook
I have a collection
Of photos in my pocket
I may save a picture
If feel inclined to keep it
My picture book shows a man who went though changes slowly
There's so much to find if you take the time to look closely
If you know his life you can see his pain
In his eyes and in his mind
Didn't who he was for so long
When he did it wasn't long
And he was gone
For a while he was
Tired, confused, and angry
But he found a purpose telling people to imagine how life could be
Who he had been
Was all that people could see
But I think he knew that was less than what he could be
Maybe it was fear
Maybe just self doubt
Crying out for help and screaming his lungs out
Disillusioned with his whole world
But when he spoke up, the whole world heard
I do not know
What it is that draws me to him
But when I see his face
It feels like I knew him
Maybe I see myself
Or who I want to be now
I wonder what he'd say if I could talk to him somehow
If you know his life you can see his pain
In his eyes and in his mind
Didn't who he was for so long
When he did it wasn't long
And now he's gone
Everything is gonna be ok when it's over
And if it's not ok
Then it's not over
Of photos in my pocket
I may save a picture
If feel inclined to keep it
My picture book shows a man who went though changes slowly
There's so much to find if you take the time to look closely
If you know his life you can see his pain
In his eyes and in his mind
Didn't who he was for so long
When he did it wasn't long
And he was gone
For a while he was

Crying out for help and screaming his lungs out
Disillusioned with his whole world
But when he spoke up, the whole world heard
