She's So Uninspired

Welcome to new sunrises
Painting hues of orange and blue
Across the previously peppermint sky
Pouring our souls into every place
Along with a few paperclips and a pen left behind
Ivory keys, ebony mind
Fiery feelings but her heart is so kind
Cuz it's pointless to keep all the troubles inside
She let it build hoping their hearts would someday intertwine

And she's so uninspired
She's got that dull look in her gaze
That bored look on her face
Everything looks the same
Nanana

Turn your headphones up a little louder
Add some colors into the morning breeze
Send gray thoughts to the somber deities
Weary citizens praying on their knees
As she watches from afar
Monotone beats, innocent eyes
Interest that fades from the future that lies
In the industry's symphony of shimmering lies
She lets it fall down and vanish and leaves it all behind

And she's so uninspired
She's got that dull look in her gaze
That bored look on her face
Everything looks the same
Nanana

The city rings out once more
With the chorus of the weary
And girls at their windows put down their pens
To scorch their salty cheeks with the coming of dusk

Golden suns set on my sad-soaked eyes
Painting pastel walls an orange
That I've never seen so bright

To all the tired souls
All the sleepless celebrators of tomorrow's sunrise
And all the glorious, unknown, urban passers-by
Sing this like an anthem.

Now we're so uninspired
All got that dull look in our gaze
That bored look on our face
Everything looks the same
Nanana
