Night Rifles

Bubbling out of my head
A distant shadow from my bed
A silhouette
A gleam from the moon
A hairpin lights up the room

The silhouette grows with the passing time
Cogs in my head won't stop spinning around
Voices on voices echo through my mind
One stands out and my temples pound

See a smile

Those faded eyes

Depressed pillows in the corner
Crackles from the freezer
Echoing
Settling
Forever in just an hour

Lips move in patterns I've seen before
Shrouded in endless beauty
Blue leaks in and bleeds on the floor
As you float down to me
