What I've Become

Tummy aches
Were what I'd fake
To skip school
Everyday
Sometimes it worked
Sometimes I'd break
Cuz mom knew me
Better that way

The best were
The rainy days
Even though school was
Where dad would take
But on the way jumping
On and over puddles
That's what used to
Make my day

But now
Those days are gone
And all I'm left with are
These memories
Still searching
Deep within
Missing the
Carefree child in me

All the
Evenings spent
Playing cricket
On the terrace of grandmom
All the nights
Getting lost in her stories
Of ghosts that I'd run from
The good old days
They are gone now
And I'm
Left here all alone
To reminisce
Where I came from
To reminisce
How I became what I've become

For a while believed
Hogwarts was real
And there's a wizard
Somewhere deep in me
But now I know
It was just the storyteller
Trying to
Breakfree

Thought my first
Breakup was the
End of my love life
How stupid now I see
Wasn't the end
But just the beginning
Of a series
Of love stories

We were all in
Such a hurry
To grow up
So fast
But now
I'd give anything
Just to
Go back once in the past

But now
Those days are gone
And all I'm left with are
These memories
Still searching
Deep within
Missing the
Carefree child in me

All the
Evenings spent
Playing cricket
On the terrace of grandmom
All the nights
Getting lost in her stories
Of ghosts that I'd run from
The good old days
They are gone now
And I'm
Left here all alone
To reminisce
Where I came from
To reminisce
How I became what I've become
