That Night

Dark ride home but the moon is bright
Soaking hair and tired eyes
But the lights are on when we reach home
The one place I felt safe doesn't feel safe anymore

So I sit in my car half an hour
And I'm thinking what am I gonna do
'Cause I'm lost and confused
I feel shocked, I can't move
And I still don't have a clue

And the radio's playing
And I keep on saying what are we gonna do
'Cause it seems like I'm trying
But really I'm lying
'Cause I know I'm scared too

That night I had a dream
I don't know what it means
But everything was fine until I stepped into the night
That night I had a dream
I don't know what it means
But everything was still til I flew off the window sill

Please
Please don't let me go again
Please don't let me go my friend
Please
Please don't let me go again
Please don't let me go my friend

Took some time for me to realise
Drowned myself in staying up
Slept on the couch for the rest of that night
Now I'm afraid of getting up

So I stare at the wall til they call
And I'm thinking what am I gonna do
'Cause I'm lost and confused
I feel shocked, I can't move
And I still don't have a clue

And the movie's repeating
It feels like I'm dreaming, what are we gonna do
'Cause it seems like I'm trying
But really I'm lying
'Cause I know I'm scared too

But that night I had a dream
I don't know what it means
But everything was fine until I stepped into the night
That night I had a dream
I don't know what it means
But everything was still til I flew off the window sill

Please
Please don't let me go again
Please don't let me go my friend
Please
Please don't let me go my friend
Please don't let me go again

You caught me at a bad time
I'm trying not to lose my mind
Maybe I'd feel better if I got there first instead of being left behind

Caught me at a bad time
I'm trying not to lose my mind
Maybe I'd feel better if I got there first instead of being left behind

Please
Please don't let me go again
Please don't let me go my friend
Please
Please don't let me go again
Please don't let me go my friend
