Good Morning, East Coast

Waking up on the west coast, dreaming of the east
The way the cold consumes me, makes me shake
I've been sailing, on pavement for over a week
And start to calm at the Great Lakes

The waters higher rushing down to the falls
It wants to dive in and hit rock bottom
Hope it'll flow to Ontario
Escape in open water

The closest thing to an ocean that I ever knew
The rocky sand and the tint of green pollutes
The view across from me, a land not my home
The dancing lights breaking over Toronto

The waters higher rushing down to the falls
It wants to dive in and hit rock bottom
Hope it'll flow to Ontario
Escape in open water

It's strange to me how even though I long to run away
It calls me back
To my door
I miss the snow and the trains in the morning
