Software Critics

We've been traveling down this road for the past five years
We've sold a lot of contracts and drank some beers
By now you'd think we'd retire
But the economy is not inspired
And another virus slowed down my email again

I don't care what the software critics think
Or if the software gods have got us jinxed
We'll keep selling this URL
To the boys at Alcatel
And call the helpdesk when the whole thing goes to hell

I've had four jobs in the past five years
Some good, some bad, some corny, some just weird
We've moved more times than gypsies
That's why we feel so tipsy
But money brings us all together here

I don't care what the software critics think
Or if the software gods have got us jinxed
We'll keep selling this URL
To the boys at Alcatel
And call the helpdesk when the whole thing goes to hell

There's finally light at the end of the tunnel
Raj is going to fix this thing in one year
I'm not quite sure how, but the tech team won't eat cow
And we'll hit that golf ball clear across each town

I don't care what the software critics think
Or if the software gods have got us jinxed
We'll keep selling this URL
To the boys at Alcatel
And call the helpdesk when the whole thing goes to hell
