Daffodil

Daffodil falling through the cracks, I ask her
Do you know who can build a field and pasture
If it doesn't thrill, I'll buy him twine

I cannot get through if I am always holdin'
Need someone like you to take away my foldin'
Can you please just hold me for a time

I'll get through
The way my past taught me to
I'll write it down in abstract poetry
I want you
The way no one ever knew
I can't even hear myself

I fill up the car and drive to Alabaster
Gonna get a copy of a metal record
If I cannot please, I'll fix my rhyme

I'll get through
The way my past taught me to
I'll write it down in abstract poetry
I want you
The way no one ever knew
I can't even hear myself

Myself
Myself
