Glass Box

Watching closely as they avert their eyes
Ignore the boy lost in space
Let him drown in his own thoughts unkind
Drain all the hope left in his mind

The only remedy is to shut the door
Pull closed the curtains, and hear no more
All the joy that comes from love, it suffocates
Wonder if I'll ever feel that way

Because a look from the outside feels like I'm trapped in a box on the wrong side
A look from the inside and I feel it is my fault

Stand tall and be strong these wall won't let you fall
Until, of course, you do
Cracked under pressure, the water pours right in
Catch your breath and submerge

Because a look from the outside feels like I'm trapped in a box on the wrong side
A look from the inside and I feel it is my fault

Inside this room I feel like I can't hardly breathe
Fog up the glass inside this box
Hope one day some time soon I will talk to you
But until then I'll just make do...
