Another Way

There's a sacred knowledge
A secret in the sound
Throughout all of time
This ancient wisdom is passed down

It says that Truth's inside you
A silent guiding voice
But we have freewill
So good or evil, it's our choice

But we're only taught that happiness is to be purchased
And paid with credit so we spend our lives in debt, as servants
It drains our energy, distracts us from our path and purpose

But I know another way
There's always another way

We are not born consumers
We're taught to believe
In the fading things of this world
But love is all we need

We must protect our children
Find ourselves in their eyes
They will inherit this Earth
And so let's make them wise

We are born to help each other
Sister, brother, father, mother
Yes, we must all help remind ourselves what is real
