Hurricanes As Humans

Amongst the busy dots
Within the speeding jams
I heard a wild, wild roar
Silence, from the crack in the sky
That jagged line threw stardust
Formed a teardrop in my eye

Mist on that hiding lie
Slithering through my bridged pores
They're holding back
Protecting the core

But it's pining for touch
To be grounded with earth

The tickle of grass
The squirming internal
At last, at last
A holy transfusion

I fear the waking life
I fear I'm not alive
Hours have passed
The second hand is rushing by

I'm not afraid to cry
Fierce like the flash of light
The storm is raging, inside of me
