DEAR THERAPIST
Poem six
I lied to you again
Only telling half-truths
In such a spectacularly mesmerizing fashion
But you can barely keep up
I lied to you again
I used every trick in my well rehearsed playbook
To charm and enchant you
Away from the darker edges of my beautiful truth
I lied to you again
This dance gives me some kind of temporary satisfaction
But does not bring me closer to my ever evaporating happiness
(To my ever evaporating happiness)
Bye mon amour
I lied to you again
Only telling half-truths
In such a spectacularly mesmerizing fashion
But you can barely keep up
I lied to you again
I used every trick in my well rehearsed playbook
To charm and enchant you
Away from the darker edges of my beautiful truth
I lied to you again
This dance gives me some kind of temporary satisfaction
But does not bring me closer to my ever evaporating happiness
(To my ever evaporating happiness)
Bye mon amour
