Ordinary Day

I wake up in the morning
Nature's quite outside
And my cloudy eyes
Spotting cloudy skies

I read the paper nothing new here
I comb my hair just in case
Burnt my lips on the coffee
Later I'm all caught up in the race

Just an ordinary day
In an ordinary life
With my feelings
Locked up somewhere inside

Don't get too close now
Don't pull my strings
Inside there's a storm
I wasn't lying

I see happy couples strolling
Yeah I see them faking their smiles
Just like a book I can read them
And the end is not that bright

You know there once was a poet
Who drowned himself in a pool
He had all the loves answers
Yet his life he just couldn't follow through

Just an ordinary way
To end the most common life
We all know what's waiting
But just a few seem to mind

There's pictures reflecting from the moon
Showing what it's like to live happily and quiet
Me I'm just floating along
Oh, loneliness is a hell of a drug
That will drag me down
I don't want to go down

So what if I'll go first
Would someone follow me by
The rain outside is hanging
Like a curtain from the sky

What if I'll go first
I don't want to leave anyone behind
In the end there's no rush
We will all get there in time
