The Mountain
Whoa-ahhhhhhh
Well I came to the mountain with just
Twenty bucks in a backpack filled with
Candy bars and girly magazines
I couldn't find no sherpa so I
Took a puff on the purp, started singing
"La dat di dat dah"
Just followin' my feet
And I kept
Climbin' til I couldn't climb no more
Til I'd forgotten what I'd started climbin' for
And as I lay down dyin'
Heard a voice cryin'
Ohhhhh
Well the mountain is wide
And the mountain is tall
Climb up so high
Careful you don't fall
Careful you don't slip
And don't you give me no lip
Better not get tired cuz you
Gotta keep on climbin' yeah
Well I got to the summit but I
I couldn't see nothin' but a
Couple of busted skulls and a crumpled can
I got to feelin' kinda queasy
I felt a funny kind of breeze
Next thing I knew I was at the bottom once again
And I kept
Climbin' til I couldn't climb no more
And I'd forgotten what I'd started climbin' for
And as I lay down dyin'
Heard a voice cryin'
Ohhhhh
Well the mountain is wide
And the mountain is tall
Climb up so high
Careful you don't fall
Careful you don't slip
Don't you give me no lip
Better not get tired cuz you gotta
You gotta keep on climbin' yeah yeah
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na
Well I came to the mountain seemed like
Time beyond countin' but I
Never seen what's on the other side
I never found no reason
But y'all believe next chance I get
I went and gave it one more try
And I kept
Climbin' til I couldn't climb no more
And I'd forgotten what I'd started climbin' for
And as I lay down dyin'
Heard a voice cryin'
Oh
Oh
Ohhhhh yeah yeah
Well the mountain is wide
And the mountain is tall
Climb up so high
Careful you don't fall
Careful you don't slip
And don't you give me no lip
Better not get tired cuz you
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Keep on climbin'
Keep on climbin' baby
Til you die
Well I came to the mountain with just
Twenty bucks in a backpack filled with
