Snickerdoodle

Times gone
Took parts of me with it
I spent up my minutes
No wrong way
No right to begin with
So let's split the difference
The distance between us will grow
Hope that you know you won't be on your own
Never alone with that phone in your hands
I'll plan a visit we'll call when we can

I'll miss the structure provided
By the people I love and the home I grew up in and bugs I spent time with
Invited this pain I remained in one place for too long
Started to think I belonged
And maybe I did at one point on my map
But now I see every year passing like the last

Can't get complacent
Can't let the work be wasted no
I'm not impatient
I've just got trouble letting go
This house will be vacant
I just got all of this grass to grow
It's always a bummer leaving half way through your favorite show
But I know
Every joke it's time to go

Times gone
And I'm going with it
I made my decision
No wrong way
No right to begin with
So what is the difference
