Mountain Mourning

Well the rivers gettin' wider now
How are we gonna cross it
For years we've watched the banks fall in
And spread across the floor
The water becomes more shallow
It turns from glass to mud
From the suns heat they couldn't hide
Then life soon did succumb

The trees don't stay as green as long
What seems to be the problem
For seasons come and seasons go
The trees they live and die
Summer comes and winters gone
There is no time between
Spring and fall don't take too long
But the worst has yet been seen

Well the wildfires began to spread
How are we gonna stop it
For years we've raised the temperature
And we've burned down natures door
The mountains are a tinderbox
Just waitin' for a flood
Soon she'll burn up in smoke
And the leaves will turn to dust

Corporate greed breeds social hate
How are we gonna fix it
For years we've divided up the masses
And torn the world to war
The body counts begin to rise
No matter what the cost
Soon the world will turn dark
And the water turned to blood
