The Next Unknown

Day dreamin' instead of listening to
Spoken crap that's taught in every high school
Is it worth hearing the teacher
Will I ever use this in the future
I would rather hear my parents argue
Than sit and read in the classroom
Everyday it's like I'm getting no where
The same routine, and it doesn't seem fair
I should be out there showing what I can do
Instead of choosing the school that I should go to
What's the point of all this education
When I could be the next generation
Music plays all day inside of my head

It might still be playing till I'm dead
It's gonna always be apart of my life
Even when I'm famous and have a wife
I don't want this gift of mine to go to waste
I need to practice more and pick up the pace
My momma thinks that music isn't everything
She says school comes first and not practicing
But then musicians say the total opposite
That you should always play and stay on top of it
I've been quiet and unknown for too long
Now it's time to show this new cool song
