You say you've been let down
And that it's not the same
Did you ever stop to wonder: maybe you're the one who has changed?

For years I was a sucker. I had something to prove
I thought everyone knew better

Well, what a joke. It's good to laugh. It's time for me to take a bath

I heard someone shout, "You can't repeat the past."
"Of course you can!"

I'm tired of being clever. I'm ready to grow dumb
I know they like their photos
Let them have their fun. Just like your cigarette
In the nursing home, we'll start a band, we'll play for all the guests and staff
