This Town

I lift my gaze
Now I see the snowflakes falling down
I loose my faith
Trying to understand the people of this town
Maybe I've been trying to be
What you already see in me

I miss this place
When i'm not around but I loose it when i'm here
It's all that hate
Emanating from my made up sense of fear
Maybe I've been trying to achieve
My wildest nightmares instead of my dreams

So I will try
To find the missing pieces of my shattered soul
I don't know why
But since I moved away this part of me just won't let go
Maybe I just wanted to believe
The past is in the past
And not a part of me
