When There's a Need

I got my sights set on setting sight blurry
Got a cold PBR in my palm
It's getting later, but I ain't got a hurry
I know my friends when they stay, they stay long

And though I get moving and lonesome
And when I know I can't tell where I'll be
They'll be right back there where I left them
They'll be right there when there's a need

We crawl over with fresh cases of cardboard
Unless we got some brews left from before
Not each lip catches sips but the ground does
Each drip builds a stain on the floor

We toss rounds 'round til we got none of our own left
And before we can beg once or plead
There's a friend's fist filled with a cold one
They'll be right there when there's a need

We get busy gettin' well and acquainted
We make up for the time that passed by
And we don't get too moved to frustration
Well, we know these good times do run dry

The night's still yet we ain't just sit still yet
But we're getting quite closer to sleep
There's a couch or a fence to hop over
They'll be right there when there's a need
