Mylapore

She is working day by day
Scared to take herself away
Works to the bone her chest in pain
Wanting to sing in the rain

She walked in the cold and fogged up her glasses
She lived her life boldly away from the masses
She muttered to herself,
"isn't there something better?"

And so she can breathe

She went to find a piece of land
Built her palace with her own two hands
Ontop of the world, she saw the lake
Her life back home began to break

She stumbled along, and crumbled to pieces
She said it was wrong, and left all the secrets
She drove far away
Searching for sweet bliss

And so she can breathe

The road stretched before her
Ready to guide her
She longed to see the world beside her
Over and over
She wrote her story
The house looked toward her
And said, "you belong with me."

And so she can breathe

She finally found her piece of place
She walked towards it full of grace
Now her chest no longer aches
She sits here looking at the lake

And so she can breathe
