Waves
I claw at my head,
The noise won't escape me,
And the crashing will not end.
Like the waves consume the shore,
This looming will consume me,
Til I know nothing else.
No matter how hard I cry,
These feelings will not drown,
Except I am.
And the tide it will not change,
The breaking of the waves,
They pull me further down.
And the crashing of my head,
And the slow erosion,
Of everything I am.
Let me walk into the sea,
And hope that I float,
This time.
The noise won't escape me,
And the crashing will not end.
Like the waves consume the shore,
This looming will consume me,
Til I know nothing else.
No matter how hard I cry,
These feelings will not drown,
Except I am.
And the tide it will not change,
The breaking of the waves,
They pull me further down.
And the crashing of my head,
And the slow erosion,
Of everything I am.
Let me walk into the sea,
And hope that I float,
This time.
